Arsenic

Arsenic (As) is a toxic semi-metal. Arsenic ca be found in many different forms. The most common in groundwater and well water is arsenite (As(III)) and arsenate (As(V)). These inorganic forms of arsenic can cause many negative health effects.

Because arsenic can cause serious health problems, even in low doses over long periods of time, it's important to reduce the amount in your water as much as possible.
